The engineer app

Engineers do not need to learn the office side. Their view has three things: today's jobs, the checklist for each, and sign-off.

Signing in

Engineers use the email address you invited them with. The first time, they set a password from the link in the invite email. Two-step login can be turned on from Account.

Working a job

1. Open the job. The site address, contact and any documents you marked as visible are there.
2. Start the checklist. Questions can be yes/no, text, numbers, sliders, temperatures, photos, people and locations, depending on the template you built.
3. Photos taken in the app are attached to the question and to the job.
4. Complete collects a signature from the site contact and closes the job. The office sees it immediately and the completion report is generated.

Ad-hoc inspections

Engineers can start an inspection that is not tied to a job, for surveys and site visits. These appear under Inspections in the office view.

Stock on jobs

If your plan includes Warehouse, stock allocated to a job shows on the job in the app, and the engineer marks what was used or returned.

Offline

The app needs a signal to load a job, but photos and answers are kept on the phone until they upload. Finish the job when you are back in coverage.
